Weddings
The wedding is the one memorable day to which a couple looks forward as they plan to spend the rest of their lives together. It is very special as the celebration of matrimonial unity. Our church provides a suitable ambiance for a wedding and in some cases, the reception to follow. If any couple desires our services, please use our contact information to make the necessary arrangements.
Space Rental
The
Philadelphia church is strategically located on the east area of Scarborough,
north of the 401, and is easily accessible by public transport. The spacious parking lot can accommodate over
100 motor vehicles per occasion. The church is available (through our Space
Allocation Committee) for short-term or long-term rental, when not in use. Please see contact information to make

Bible Studies
As a Christian organisation, the Philadelphia church provides opportunities for
individuals to study the Bible and become more intimately acquainted with God’s
word. It provides one-to-one interaction
through the pastors, elders and Bible instructors, and also conducts group
studies. The church holds the Bible as
fundamental to its beliefs and practices, helping individuals to conform to a
balanced lifestyle, when guided by the Spirit of God. Please contact us if you desire FREE Bible

FUNERAL
Sacred
scripture declares that “the living know that they shall die….” When the cruel hands of death snatch our
loved ones away from us, to whom do we turn?
The church is a part of the caring community that can provide grief
counselling in addition to the facilities to conduct the funeral. Please see the contact information to make
arrangements.
Pre-marital and Marital Counselling
The family is the basic building block of society. It was not an initiative of society but God’s idea. We see marriage as a life-long commitment between a man and a woman and a sacred covenant between the couple and God.
Pre-marital counselling provides the couple with an opportunity to explore areas of similarities and differences, and to give the marriage the best chance for success. It also helps the couple to rediscover the lost (or forgotten) art of marital harmony, and to face some stark realities that were probably clouded by unrealistic expectations. Baby Dedication
“After he was weaned, she took the boy with her, young as he was ... and brought him to the house of the Lord at Shiloh. 28 So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord ...” 1 Samuel 24 & 28
At Philadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church, one of our goal is to nurture, guide, teach, pray and train up children in the way of the Lord. For parents in the church or from our community, it is a way of giving thanks to God for the new addition to the family. We encourage each parent to commit their lives to God as they take on the responsibility of raising godly children, remembering that the family is the first and most important socializing agent in our society.
As part of our regular worship, we offer Baby Dedication service. It is held every second Saturday each month. Call or email if you would like to have your child/children dedicated.
